About
Whisky-Advice.com came about as a desire to help people discover whisky in a better more effective way which will appeal to the seasoned connoisseur and the beginner alike.
The Problem:
The problem facing many of us whisky lovers is that there are too many whiskies, not enough time and not enough money to throw away on a whisky that you just might not enjoy.
But there are already books and websites out there:
Sure, there are many whisky sites and books available where you can find information on what a particular whisky tastes like. Generally these are written by ‘experts’, professionals or long-time whisky connoisseurs who have advanced palates and are accustomed to particular flavours.
So?
So, if you are new to the whisky adventure, it is highly unlikely that your palate will be similar to those of the experts. For example, many beginners hate, or rather, don’t understand peat. The experts generally can’t get enough of it.
If, on the other hand, you are a seasoned whisky connoisseur yourself, you may find that your palate is totally different of that from a particular expert.
How can Whisky-Advice.com help:
Well, similar to conducting a survey, the larger the group of respondents, the more reliable the resulting data. Here at Whisky-Advice.com we don’t just give you access to the advice of an expert whisky palate. We give you access to advice from our team of experts to those of our experienced members down to those of beginner members. Read the professional reviews, read the user reviews, contribute your own reviews. Want a rating? We got a rating. Don’t trust an expert because his palate has been different to yours in the past, use the User Rating. Don’t like ratings? Read the reviews.
At Whisky-Advice.com you’ll find advice that you can actually use.
Happy adventuring,
